Best Happy Hours in Manchester!

Bank holiday weekend is finally here! Can you tell we’re excited? We’ve been so looking forward to our long weekend that we’ve put together a list of what we think are some of the best happy hours in Manchester! Sometimes a boujie weekend isn’t the vibe, and whilst it isn't quite payday yet, we think a classic happy never hurt nobody.

Whether you’re new to Manchester or a local who needs somewhere new to take their mates, this guide is definitely going to help you find your perfect bank holiday weekend spot.

The Blues Kitchen

A Manchester classic, The Blues Kitchen is somewhere that everyone in Manchester knows and loves because of the music, food, and of course the drinks. The vibes are immaculate so with or without a happy hour, we’d still try and get a spot at The Blues Kitchen as often as we could.

Their happy hour lasts all evening on a Wednesday from 5pm, and on a Friday between 5pm and 7pm, and the offer? £5 cocktails. Need I say more?

They’ve got all the cocktails you could want from a classic espresso martini to a burnt pear old fashioned, a cheeky twist on a classic. So this Friday when the bank holiday feels set in, make sure you get down to The Blues Kitchen to kick start your weekend.

YES

If you’ve ever been a student in Manchester, then you’ll know YES, and hopefully love it as much as we do. If you’re going back for a feeling of nostalgia, or you’re going for the first time this weekend, YES is the perfect place to spend a day in the sun, with its rooftop bar hosting everyone that loves to have fun and a nice drink in a chilled out setting.

YES have a permanent happy hour, with pints of Amstel going for only £3.45 and a 2-for-1 cocktail offer where you get the second cocktail for only £1! And even if we do say so ourselves, the cocktails are a perfect treat for a rooftop seat when the sun comes out.

Wolf at the Door

If a booze-filled big weekend isn’t your sort of thing, then Wolf at the Door is the perfect spot for you because they’ve got a 24/7 food happy hour! You can find Wolf a the Door in the legendary Northern Quarter, so you know that whatever’s getting served up is going to be good.

Wolf at the Door serves up £1 tacos and bao buns all week long, so if you’re not into a cocktail or you need a pit stop after having one too many, then make your way to picky bit heaven and get your hands on some amazing food!

Junior Jacksons

Not quite ready to go home? Junior Jacksons is open until 3am all week, so if you’re stuck on where to go next then head up to the best dive bar Manchester has to offer! Junior Jacksons is the place to go when you want ultimate party vibes without the pressure to go anywhere too fancy, because everyone’s there to just have a good time with their mates and enjoy a few drinks.

Their happy hour is 5pm-8pm every single day. Get a pint and a shit shot for £6, a frozen daiquiri for a fiver, or stay double parked with the classic 2-for- £10 cocktail offer. Junior Jacksons is THE place to let go and have a good time, so make sure to head over there this weekend!

Trof

Now we’ve got an epic happy hour here. It’s not even just the prices, but Trof is a super cool restaurant and bar that’s got something for everyone. If there’s a few of you it’s definitely better to book to guarantee a spot, so make sure you sort your bank holiday plans ASAP!

Not sure what to expect from Trof’s happy hour? It’s Monday to Friday from 4pm to 9pm, and we’re talking £3.50 pints, £5 selected cocktails (you’re going to have to go if you want to know what they are), £12.50 bottles of wine and £20 bottles of fizz! You’re going to love it here, you’ll be coming back for brunch and an espresso martini the morning after spending the night here.

Drink responsibly you gorgeous huns!
